Development Engineer for a Major Client in the Energy Sector!

The Company
The client is a global company specializing in energy technology. The company provides solutions and products for producing, transmitting, and distributing energy efficiently and sustainably. The client is involved in the entire energy value chain, including power generation, renewable energy sources, power transmission, and smart grid solutions.

Their operations include:

1. Power Production: The client manufactures gas turbines, steam turbines, and other machinery used in power plants.
2. Renewable Energy: The company works on developing and providing solutions for renewable energy, such as wind and solar power.
3. Energy Transport and Distribution: The client offers solutions for transmitting electricity from power plants to consumers via efficient and reliable power grids.
4. Energy Storage: The company develops and implements technologies for energy storage, which is crucial for managing intermittent renewable energy sources like solar and wind.

The Role
As a Development Engineer, you will act as the spider in the web. You will not just be doing CAD work but will be more proactive in project form, working with innovative solutions in an exciting industry.

Your tasks may include:

• Discussing specific requirements with suppliers
• Familiarizing yourself with new standards and norms
• Preparing discussions and your position, which you should be able to discuss afterward
• Participating in development projects (usually 1-10 people in a development project)
• Setting a timeline and checking in with colleagues
• Solving technical problems
• Preparing and presenting what you have developed to a team.

We are looking for someone with:

• A recent graduate or a few years of experience as a bachelor's or master's engineer in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on mechatronics or similar
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A passionate interest in technology and technical solutions

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working with innovative solutions, for example, creating your own designs
• Experience as a development engineer or similar
• Swedish citizenship
• Experience in developing entirely new technical solutions and mindsets
